Hey Brill - the furminator does NOT work on Clementine's black fur. It only works so well on Winston because he has the dreaded pug "double coat" - it is very very thick. Most black pugs don't have this and so the furminator doesn't really do much for them. So, don't feel bad. It's the same over here - we brush her and brush her, and she still sheds this fine layer of black hair everywhere.
